The only other source reporting the news Thursday evening was the Mexican news agency Notimex. Under the new law, you can carry 2 grams of pot, 2 grams of opium, half a gram of coke, 50mg of heroin, or 40mg of meth. "What we are seeking is to not treat an addict as a criminal, but rather as a sick person and give them psychological and medical treatment,&quo t; said Sen. Alejandro Gonzalez, head of the Senate's justice committee. Nice to see some sanity south of the border, even if it has taken thousands of violent deaths (3000 -- a "septembe r eleventh unit" -- this week alone) to achieve said sanity. The last bill like this was stopped - by another country. Guess who? "US" ?
